It’s Friday, and I like to go out for a lunch outside, so I drive out in the beautiful night, during my one hour lunch break. I had heard a few good things about The Sandwich Factory at Trivia Complex, Natubhai Circle. So, it’s decided then, that’s where we are going.

I ask the guy at the counter to tell me which sandwich will not have tomatoes and capsicums. I never eat tomatoes and capsicums, especially when they are in pieces that I can see. He says, try the Tandoori Paneer sandwich, it would be a little spicy and you would like it. I agree. He asks me if I would like to make it into a combo with a cold coffee. Great, why would I say no to that? I ask him to add in chili garlic potato bites as well.

It’s self service, which is good in a way. My sandwich arrives. This comes out to be one of those few places who serve not just a ketchup with the sandwich but also a small bowl of green mint chutney. But the chutney is quite watery. A little disappointing. Chutney should be pasty, a bit solid, no so watery, it diluted the taste and the spice of the chutney.

The sandwich is good, generous portions of paneer inside. But the tandoori sauce kills the fieryness of the tandoori flavors. Tandoori flavors need to be fiery and spicy, that’s when its best enjoyed, those are the flavors I associate with a tandoor, with a tinge of smoky flavors. Smokey flavors are quite absent in the sandwich, as is the fiery spiciness. I did provide the same feedback to the staff there and they quite agreed with it. The cold coffee was good. Dressing the glass with a drizzle of chocolate sauce, might make it look more beautiful.

The chili garlic potato bites were the most awesome. They were mostly thawed McCain product, which is ok with me, thought that makes the price a little higher for me to digest. But taste-wise it was super delicious. Spicy, yummy, super awesome! This one I would definitely order again, those seasonings on the potato bites were a show stealer for me.

Overall, good experience, will definitely visit again. Here’s my report card –
