I have been a big fan of Frescho ever since they opened. It helps me have delicious food, in a chic cafe environ, without the guilt of loading my body, and adding in any junk. It’s always healthy and happy to eat here. I have my own favorites here, but I keep trying new stuff, always open to experimentation.
So, on this day, I ordered a brown pasta salad, a mushroom panini and the Classic juice. All three of these things are something I have never had before.

The brown pasta salad has now made it to my super favorite. I could have it everyday. It has cooked penne pasta, with creamy sauces, diced red cabbage, olives and it is seasoned with garlic and herbs like oregano. The seasonings have a really strong flavor and leave a lingering aftertaste long after you are done eating it. Having penne in this is a good idea, it allows the sauces and the seasonings to fill inside it, and give you a great flavor in every bite. Loving it big time. It is the best thing I have had at Frescho so far. I love pasta, and making such a delicious salad out of it, is amazing. The decides cabbage adds a crunchy texture to it, while the pasta makes it just a slight bit chewy, in a creamy textured base of the sauces.

The mushroom panini is delicious. It is made with whole wheat brown bread, stuffed with grilled mushrooms on a base of spinach and topped with delicious bhut jolokiya mayo; grilled together to form a panini. I have been fascinated by the bhut jolokia for a very long time now, it is the spiciest chili pepper known to mankind, so much so that you can’t even hold it with your bare hands or it would burn you off. You have to wear gloves to use it. It definitely can’t be eaten directly either. It is a fantastic spice that intrigues me beyond imagination. So, every time I see something that has bhut jolokia in it, the spice lover in me falls for it, and just goes for it. And the mushroom panini doesn’t disappoint me. I love mushrooms. This is a delicious panini, makes it to my favorite list as well. Super loving every bit of it.

The Classic juice is a mix of orange, pineapple and sweet lime. The tangyness of the orange, the sweetness of the pineapple and sweet-tart are all perceptible in the juice. In a mixture of juices, it often happens that one of the fruits can become overpowering and flatten out the other fruit flavors. But this is not that, not that at all. I could almost taste all of the flavors I would expect in a mixture of these three fruits. It is indeed a classic juice, no irritating pulpiness, where fibers tend to get stuck in your mouth and you have to chew every sip of your juice instead of drinking it. I love this juice. It is a great tangy refresher at any time of the day, and would go well with some amazing salads like the one I was having, it would balance out the strong garlic and herbs flavor of the salad beautifully.

Since the food was ordered at home, I have to say Freshco has always, always impressed me with its packaging. Lovely packaging, no spillovers, no dripping this way and that. Clean, tidy boxes and glasses delivered fresh to your home. That already does half of the job of making me love my food. Appreciate it Team Freschco, not everybody pays attention to that, and considering how extremely important the visual impact of the food and the packaging is, a big thank you for realizing it and take a bow.
