We all have had ice cream, and most of us love ice cream too. However, thanks to the growing creativity of ice cream enthusiasts with boosters coming in from pop culture and reality shows like Masterchef series, ice cream is no longer the plain vanilla (pun intended) dessert it used to be. One such parlour that has experimented and come with its own take on ice cream and frozen desserts is Cream & More. They have an outlet near Trident Complex in Race Course and also one at Manisha Chowkdi.

I visited the Manisha Chowkdi outlet and was overwhelmed with their menu. They offer thick shakes, popcorn ice cream, tace ice cream, pan cakes, animal shaped waffles, sorbets, rolls ice cream, balls ice cream, liquid nitrogen ice cream, candies, smoky biscuits and so much more.

It is a cool ice cream parlour ambiance, white all over, with interesting artwork representations of their products put up one wall. The staff is nice and friendly, and it is a fully self-service outlet.

I order classic pancakes, requesting replacement of honey with maple syrup, and a taco ice cream. The pancakes came in a small disposable plate with plastic cutlery, with three small pancakes arranged in a row. The pancakes were fluffy and soft in the centre, slightly toasty towards the ends. It is a bit of a challenge to eat it out of a plate with curved ends with plastic forks, but the pancakes do taste really good. A more generous drizzle of maple and butter would have worked wonders though. The taco ice cream is Cream and more’s take on the classic choco-bar. It has the waffle bent and shaped like a taco and the size of a cocktail taco, filled with plain vanilla ice cream, coated with chocolate and topped with sugar décor on top.

The menu is very interesting and they even house the latest rage – the Match Green Tea in a cold shake/smoothie variant. The raspberry sorbet comes highly recommended too. The animal shaped waffles are very popular among kids. They have very different flavor offerings even when simple ice creams are concerned, setting it apart from the numerous ice cream outlets in the city.

They are currently researching on cold beverages (ice tea/juice) with tapioca bubbles (popularly called as boba) in them, and offered a complimentary glass to all the customers while I was there. I got a cranberry juice with green apple bubbles, and it was delicious.

Cream and More is a must visit with your gang and your family, a late night treat is in store and much deserved on any day. A word of caution – seating arrangement in the parlour is limited, but there are a few steps and chairs outside, which also makes for a good place to sit and enjoy the desserts.
