There are a lot of places that we like to hang out at, but it is not always with human friends. Sometimes, we want to take along our hairy friends because they understand some things better than anybody else, and we are inseparable. For such bffs is the all new pet-friendly cafe that has just opened up near Mothers School, off the Harinagar-Vasna Road, called the Urban Brewery.

With a mission to break people out of their rut, engage them with great coffee, art and service, and help them experience something exotic in their everyday life; and basically just freak out your cup of coffee; the Urban Brewery is a revamped old house with cosy interiors and an amazing ambience. It has a charm that lingers in your mind long after you have left the place. The staff is warm and friendly and service comes with a big smile. Also, be welcomed by a cute big dog – Mocha, so what more could you ask for.

The menu here is simple and easy going. There is nothing too fancy or complicated. Be it sandwiches, pizzas or coffees, the offerings are pretty straightforward, making it much easier to decide what you would like to have.

I ordered a Cafe Mocha and a Cheese Chilli Sandwich. Both turned out to be really good. The coffee was perfect balance of the sweetness of chocolate and the stiff bitterness of coffee. The sandwich was spicy and cheesy, just like it should be. Together they made a great combo and was quite filling.

They have a huge bookshelf with so many books, one can always pull one out and cosy up reading it. The interiors are very tastefully and beautifully done, it makes you want to spend more time here with friends and pets, and it is bound to inspire conversations. It’s an amazing place and definitely a must visit in the city for good food and a chilled out environment.
