This Cheese and Garlic bread, is epic, literally. Cheese, garlic and bread; there isn’t a chance you could go wrong with it, and when you have it on the crack, it’s even more delicious. I made this crack bread at home, and I accept, cheese garlic bread will never be the same again for me. It is insanely delicious, and you can pull out diamond shaped bite size pieces from the bread.
Take a crusty loaf, some shredded mozzarella or just any cheese you like that will melt out and some garlic butter. I used some garlic powder and mixed it up into slightly melted butter to get the perfect flavor in, then I let it sit for sometime, mixed it again, then let it sit. Then mixed it again, melted it out and used.
Cut the bread on a diagonal into 2cm/1″ diamonds but do not cut all the way through the bread, like you would do if you are cutting french sticks for the simple garlic bread (Like the one you get in Dominos, it’s cut, but not cut all the way to the ends).
Then pull apart each crack created by the cut to free up the diamond shaped pieces a little. You don’t have to tear them apart right now, just push them apart and make space to fill in the butter and cheese. Drizzle in the melted butter into each of the cracks. Then stuff it up with cheese, lots of cheese, till its full. Wrap it with foil and bake it for 15 minutes in a pre-heated over at 180 degrees. Unwrap and bake for 5 more minutes.
Serve immediately. So, how about making this, this weekend?
Just a note, the denser the bread, the better the pieces will hold together when pulled off.
