Special Gajak Rolls from Indore

Winters are the best time to have some delicious Gajak. With the winters gone by, we do miss the Gajak. Sometime back I had ordered the Special Gajak Rolls from Malvi Mithas in Indore. Malvi Mithas is one of the best shops in the region for Gajak. They have a very wide variety of Gajaks available like butterscotch gajak, sugar free gajak, chocolate gajak, dry fruit gajak, herbal gajak, gajak rolls, etc. The Gajak is available from October to February there. They have 10 varieties of Anguri Petha too.

In 1972, Shri Ram Chandra Nema opened “Nema Kulfi and Gajak” in Indore. Soon, the shop became very famous not only in Indore but also in the neighboring areas. Today, they have 4 outlets in Indore. After working with the Nema brand, Mr. Ram Chandra’s grandson Mr. Sachin Nema opened up his own venture – “Malvi Mithas”.

The Gajak Rolls I ordered came well packed boxes. Normally Gajak is in the form of flat pieces like most sweets or sometimes like biscuits. This one was totally different, it was in the form of rolls. The rolls had a filling of dry fruits within, like cashews, almonds and raisins. The Gajak was very crisp and fresh. The dry fruits were in abundance and added a great flavor to the Gajak.
