Overnight Mocha Oatmeal

A coffee lover never gets bored of coffee, no matter how many times they drink it in a day. I am one of them, so I know. But what if I say we can make coffee healthier by pumping it up with oats. Go on, make a face, I don’t like oats much myself. But this simple, high fiber breakfast takes just a few minutes to make, and you can even prepare it the night before so you don’t have any effort to put in, in the morning. This way, the morning coffee and the breakfast are combined into one, and it’s high fiber to keep you full a longer while, high on protein and it’s healthy.

You need –

1 cup water

one handful of oats

1 tsp instant coffee of your choice

1/4 tsp salt

1 tsp honey

1/2 tsp cacao powder

1 banana

few walnuts

one cup milk to serve

Squash the banana, add oats, coffee powder, cacao powder, salt and walnuts into a pan and add the water to it. Let it simmer till the mixture becomes thick. Pour it into a bowl, add milk and honey.

If you don’t want to cook in the morning, put all the ingredients into a bowl at night and shove it into the fridge, it would be ready to eat in the morning. If you are doing this, decrease the amount of water you use and increase the amount of milk.

Ready in a jiffy power breakfast.
